St Michael’s in Alnwick, Northumberland is a happy and caring church school very much involved with the local Parish and the local community. We offer a stimulating and structured, creative environment in which your child can develop as a whole person.
This year we have achieved Arts Mark for our work in developing the Arts within our wonderfully stimulating creative curriculum. We have also been awarded ‘Spanish School of the Year’ status by the Spanish Embassy for our work in implementing Spanish and Spanish culture across the school.
Staff and Governor monitoring have highlighted the huge impact that these initiatives are having on pupil’s enjoyment and achievement in all subjects.
Visitors to school, also comment on the engagement and enjoyment of our pupils in their learning and their attitudes to each other. We believe that the relaxed but respectful relationships that exist between pupils, staff, parents, governors and the local community are a strength of the school, contributing hugely to family well-being.
