Dear Parents, Carers & Governors,

Welcome back to the Spring Term. It is lovely to have everyone back happy and relaxed after the Christmas break.

Fundraising up-date

The Year 4’s raised over £750 with sale of Ford Castle DVD’s, Christmas Bingo and Morrisons Bag-packing – this will certainly cover the cost of Hoodies for the Dukes House Wood Residential and their sweat-shirt/hoodies. Many thanks to everyone who supported.

The Bingo and Children’s Christmas shop and cake stall raised a further £500 too!! This will support school visits for each Key Stage – thank you again for all your support – an amazing result.

Please find a list of dates below for your information:-

• Tuesday 10^th January to 7^th February – After School club 3-4 each week.
• Thursday 12^th January to 9^th February – Church mice 3-4 each week.
• Friday 13^th January to 10^th February – Key Stage 2 swimming each week.
• Friday 13^th January – we welcome Mrs Boughen, our new Headteacher from Easter, to school for her first official visit – she will be around school with the children and staff all day and will be out in the playground to meet with you at 3pm.
• Wednesday 18^th January – Kidnap a parent – Reception & Keystage 2
• Thursday 19^th January {10 wks}. Literacy workshop for Parents to help children with their Reading and Writing.
• Wednesday 8^th February Whole School Pantomime – Beauty & The Beast – in school – funded by The Friends of St. Michael’s. See separate letter from Mrs Mackay re Nursery on this day.
• Wednesday 1^st February – Key Stage 1 visit to Seven Stories Museum, Newcastle and The Synagogue – see separate letter from Mr Johnston. The cost of transport for this visit will be met by school.
• Half term – Friday 10^th February – 3pm finish as usual
• School re-assembles on Monday 20^th February.
