International School Award

Dear Parents & Carers,

It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that Mrs Debbie Boughen has been appointed as Headteacher of our School from the beginning of the Summer Term 2012.

Mrs Boughen is leaving her current Headship in Yorkshire just before Easter and is really looking forward to re-locating to Northumberland with her family as she joins us at St. Michael’s.

Over the coming months Mrs Lamb and I will be meeting and working with Mrs Boughen regularly to ensure there is a comprehensive handover and smooth transition of roles before she formally takes up her new post with us on 16^th April.

There will be an opportunity over the coming term for Mrs Boughen to come into school to meet with the children and staff again and to greet yourselves in the yard.

I will of course be writing to you later this term, with all we have planned to help us and you say a very fond farewell to our wonderful Mrs Lamb, who has been such an inspirational and much loved Head Teacher here at St Michael’s for over seven years.

Suffice to say, Mrs Lamb will be sorely missed, but I hope you will all join me in showing a very warm “St Michael’s” welcome to Mrs Boughen as she arrives to take up the reins.
